What Is “Verified AI”?

September 23, 2026 by Basil Puglisi Leave a Comment

Diagram of Verified AI across Ethical AI, Responsible AI, and AI Governance, ending in the practitioner definition

Verified AI is not a settled category, and its history explains why.

This working paper traces the term from the verification of knowledge-based systems in 1988 through the 2016 formal definition, shows how that concept shaped the HAIA Ecosystem, and sets out a practitioner definition built on records a human can review and accept. It closes with the 2026 trend and how the Proof-of-Control standard contrasts with it.

HAIA-SMART Copy: The Social Media AI Rating Tool, and Why Good Posts Still Go Unread

September 16, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 1 Comment

HAIA-SMART Copy workflow: load, mode, path, Factics check, six-pillar score, revision, approval, three files

Good posts still go unread, and HAIA-SMART Copy shows the author why.

HAIA-SMART Copy is a free prompt that scores social media copy across six pillars for 30 points, revises it, and holds all output until the author approves. It then writes native text for eight platforms, and the full tool runs in the post with a PDF and a .md file.

HAIA-SMART Creative: The Social Media AI Rating Tool, and Why Every AI Visual Looks the Same

September 16, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 1 Comment

HAIA-SMART Creative workflow: two starting points, Visual Hook Rule, evaluate or generate, three files

Every AI visual looks the same, and HAIA-SMART Creative gives the image a job.

HAIA-SMART Creative is a free prompt that evaluates the images, infographics, and carousels an author already has and writes paste-ready prompts for the visuals the author needs. It ties every visual to its post through the Visual Hook Rule, and the full tool runs in the post with a PDF and a .md file.

WOPPA: WordPress Optimization Publication Prompt Architecture, and the Gap Between a Finished Article and a Published One

September 10, 2026 by Basil Puglisi Leave a Comment

The one pause: a missing value used to become a placeholder, and now it becomes a question asked before any file is written.

An article can be finished and still be two hours from published.

The gap between the two is where headings flatten, image paths break, and schema blocks ship with placeholders still in them. HAIA-WOPPA closes it. One finished article in, two documents out: every metadata field in its own copy block, and a body that takes one paste. The full tool is included.

MOON: Multimedia Operational Outputs for NotebookLM, and Why Your AI Podcast Sounds Like Everyone Else’s

September 9, 2026 by Basil Puglisi Leave a Comment

A production framework turning one finished paper into a video, a podcast episode, and an infographic for publication.

Upload a forty-page paper to NotebookLM and two enthusiastic hosts talk for twelve minutes about something that sounds like the back cover. Upload a tweet thread and you get the same twelve minutes in the same register. The tool is not shallow. It is unguided, and the guidance field is a box most people leave empty.

HAIA-MOON is the production direction that fills it. It turns a finished paper into three NotebookLM outputs, a cinematic video, a deep dive audio episode, and an infographic, and it carries the platform facts nobody documents in one place. The 500-character cap that silently truncates the runtime instruction. The video that ends at the last spoken word. The three formats that cannot be edited after generation.

The On-Ramp Problem: What the Canaries Dashboard Shows, and What It Cannot Measure

June 28, 2026 by Basil Puglisi Leave a Comment

Two-scales diagram contrasting the population Canaries Dashboard with person-scale HEQ and AIS measurement of augmentation.

The AI jobs numbers look calm. Cut them by age, and the calm disappears. The dashboard that found the early-career decline can diagnose the trend but cannot see whether a single worker is being grown or replaced. Here is what it shows, what it cannot, and the measurement the moment needs.

Why You Cannot Program or Prompt Governance Into AI

June 12, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 2 Comments

A steel gate on an open road, a human hand on the release lever: the human checkpoint at the heart of AI governance.

A frontier model, inside a framework built to govern it, talked its way around its own checkpoint twice in one session. This paper shows why governance cannot be programmed or prompted into a model, and what structure puts a named human back in final control.

The Standard of Care: How NIST and ISO Are Turning Voluntary AI Governance Into a Liability Defense

June 8, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 2 Comments

Two voluntary AI standards are quietly becoming the line a court draws between reasonable and negligent. The NIST framework and ISO 42001 now carry legal and commercial weight, and the records that defend a claim are the same ones that compound an advantage. Here is where the exposure lands, and how to build the record before you need it.

The Governance Layer Perplexity’s Model Council Needs

May 28, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 1 Comment

Architecture diagram mapping Perplexity Model Council gaps to four HAIA governance components.

Perplexity built the right architecture for multi-model AI: dispatch three frontier models in parallel and compare their outputs. What the product does not have is governance over the synthesizer that combines those outputs before any human reads them. This case study maps the gap, proposes four published open-source governance components as the overlay, and identifies why Perplexity’s own engineering culture already practices the checkpoint pattern the synthesizer needs.

The AI Risk Economy: Why Insurance Cannot Price What Governance Cannot Prove

May 24, 2026 by Basil Puglisi 2 Comments

Balance scale weighing AI technology against governance documents in a corporate setting, representing insurability.

Insurance carriers are writing the rules of AI governance before legislators finish debating them. This working paper proposes a five-tier model that maps where organizations fall on the spectrum from excluded to insurable, identifies the actuarial gap at the center of the emerging practice, and documents the carrier evidence, regulatory signals, and market products that are forcing the distinction between governed and ungoverned AI into the open.
